How to Submit your ePoster

There are several important steps required:

  • Ahead of the conference itself, you will be required to upload your work in the form of an ePoster by 12th October 2026 on the Scigen Platform using the link https://real2026.epostersubmission.com/.
  • You will also be required to display your work in the form of a physical printed poster for the duration of the 2-day conference (10th & 11th November 2026). There will be prizes awarded for the best exhibits.
  • Please see notes at the end of this email for further guidance regarding the poster exhibition.
  • Please confirm your acceptance of the terms of the poster exhibition by 15th September 2026. 

 

Registering for the conference:

  • The presenting author must register for the conference by 14th September.
  • Registration details can be found on the RCR website and in the RCR events section. The conference has previously sold out, and we recommend early registration to ensure your slot is reserved.

Poster Guidelines

Please carefully read the instructions below regarding the creation and submission of your ePoster and Physical poster. Please note that you are expected to upload an ePoster before 12th Oct 2026 and also bring a printed poster to the conference to be displayed at the Venue during the whole conference.

Key dates:

  • Monday 14 September - Accepted abstracts Conference registration deadline 
  • Monday 12 October - Deadline to submit the ePoster to the online platform
  • Tuesday 10 November - Printed posters to be displayed by 08:30 AM at the venue. (Presenters must print their own posters to display at the venue)
  • Wednesday 11 November - People's choice poster winners announced

 

1. Creation of your ePoster

These instructions are written for PowerPoint, but are applicable to any other software you may wish to use. Use PowerPoint 2007 or newer, and set the dimensions of your poster to 84.1 cm (33.11 in) width x 118.9 cm (46.81 in) height, in portrait orientation.

  • Number of pages (slides): one (1)
  • Make sure your text and background have a large contrast (dark lettering on a light background or the reverse).
  • For embedded images, prefer .jpeg or .png file formats in a resolution of 72 or 96 dpi. 
  • Do not use animated effects, “animations”, and videos.
  • The RCR logo or crest must not be displayed on or included in the ePoster image. Any ePoster containing the RCR logo will not be displayed or published.
  • Before submitting, save your poster as a PDF file. All recent versions of PowerPoint and most other software applications allow you to save your poster as a PDF file from the "File > Save as" menu or through the "File > Print > as PDF" option. If you are unsure of how to save your poster as a PDF file, you can find more information and tutorials on our Support Center at support.scigentech.com.

2. Submission of your ePoster

Important notice: 

The deadline for submitting your ePoster is October 12th, 11:59 p.m. (BST)

To submit your ePoster, please follow the steps below:

  • Navigate to the address https://real2026.epostersubmission.com/
  • Click on "Submit poster". When asked, please enter the Poster Submission Code, as shown above in the current e-mail.
  • Follow the three simple steps included in the Wizard to complete the submission of your ePoster. Depending on the file size of your ePoster and your Internet connection, the submission process may take from seconds to minutes.
  • Failure to provide a PDF file before the deadline will result in the abstract being withdrawn from the competition/conference

Please note: The poster submission process described above is fully automated, and you will receive instant notification upon the successful submission of your ePoster. It also allows you to automatically replace a previous poster submission with an updated one, at any point in time before the deadline expires. Furthermore, it eliminates the chance that an ePoster sent by email could be erroneously characterized as a spam email and get lost. Therefore, only poster submissions through the process described above will be accepted.

3. Physical poster guidelines 

Below you will find important instructions regarding your physical poster. Please make sure to review these guidelines carefully to ensure your poster meets the required specifications and is properly prepared for display at the conference.

  • All physical poster sizes must be portrait A0-sized 84.1 cm (33.11 in) width x 118.9 cm (46.81 in) height -your poster must not exceed these measurements.
  • It is the authors' responsibility to design and print their own poster. There will not be any on-site facilities to do this.
  • It is not permitted to include the RCR logo or crest on the physical poster image. Any physical poster containing the RCR logo will not be displayed or published.
  • Posters MUST be displayed from the start of day one of the conference, Tuesday 10th November 2026 until the end of the second break on day two, Wednesday 11th November 2026.
  • Presenters are encouraged to stand by their posters over breaks and during the drinks reception to answer any questions your fellow delegates may have.
  • Posters will be taken down after the second break on day 2 of the Conference.
  • It is the responsibility of the presenter to take down their poster during this time wherever possible.
  • We are unable to return uncollected posters, any posters remaining after this time will be recycled.
